    Default rapid feeder

does anyone know why my bees are not going up into the rapid feeder but are milling around on the crown board appearing to be looking for the liquid just above, have made holes in crown board in line with feeder holes and run small amount down funnel.
Also after 3 days it has black mold spots on the solution , might this be putting them off and why has it happened as it is new and i washed and rinsed it very well beforehand ,any ideas welcome

They might not want to take it, if they're able get out to collect nectar. I'd throw away any feed that is mouldy.

If you're sure they need feeding it might be worth using a large jam jar instead, they'll empty it faster than a feeder so there will be less chance of it going mouldy. 1:1 syrup will spoil quite quickly in warm, humid, weather.

thank you Bumble will try the glass feeder as have now looked in the frames and very little stores but masses of capped and uncapped brood so many mouths to feed
