Have found bees flipping on the wet landing boards is there a proper angle to set the board at to prevent this.

Not that I know of. Perhaps the best is to keep them dry with a sort of "porch roof".

I guess the smart-arse answer regarding the angle is "depends", the finish on the wood etc etc is all going to vary the angle required for water to run off. If it's pooling enough to be a problem, perhaps the landing board just needs to be planed level to sort out the issue?

Yes a porch of sorts has been rigged up and it has done the trick but this is just a temporary measure my existing boards sit at a fair angle, yesterday i fitted a landing board with a greater gradient without a porch the bees don't seem to mind and so far none have flipped on landing. Thanks for your comments.
