    Default Sticky Boards????

Any suggestions on what to use on screened bottom boards to check for Varroa. My insert panel is covered in clear plastic but I'm unsure what to use as a sticky covering.

I usually don't bother with anything sticky but if I want a more accurate count I use vaseline. I don't have much faith in counting natural mite drop in any case and prefer to fork out drones during the active season.

I wonder if a can of 'Spraymount' would be a quick and easy solution? It might stay tacky for long enough and can be sprayed on quickly.

I use cheap cooking oil from a spray a couple of passes is plenty, but like Rosie I don't have much faith in counting natural drop, too many variables. Good to see after treatment how many bugs were cleared and maybe a better indicator for a second treatment
