    Default A long summer?

The bees were busy today, including the ones without feed or not touching the stuff on offer. Lots of different pollen types coming in, the slate blue-grey of willowherb, whites, yellows, deep orange and brown, probably clover:

I had a trip up to the heather this afternoon. Might add a blog later. There is still plenty of willowherb which is often fading by now. In some spots it is in early flower, but in sunny spots it is almost over. The heather itself is now in full flower but there is still a lot to come.

My lot were working late into the evening. They seem to be enjoying the nearby privet which is flowering better than it has for years. Willowherb on its way out. Must take a walk up the track to see how the heather's doing.
