Thread: Last Year's honey frames?

  1. #1

    Question Last Year's honey frames?

I have some frames of honey from last year but they are only partially capped. Is it ok to put them back into the hive so the bees can get the job finished?

Do you mean that the uncapped cells are empty or do they have wet (and fermenting?) honey in them?

Yes there is wet honey in them although is doesn't appear to be fermenting.
A few of the cells may be showing signs but very few

If fermenting, I might be inclined to gently wash them out and shake out the liquid first.
