    Found this on a queen rearing site i look at, wonder what you think of it. I thought it was interesting.Its a bit long . But worth seeing how its done.

    I think brushing them off combs without any personal protection is very brave
    They were Carnies but even so I was scared just watching

    I thought that to the fact he/she had no protection, I also thought feeding them honey was a no no.

    There's nothing wrong with feeding your own honey back to your bees, you know where it's from and you know it's disease free. Whether it's cost effective is another matter. It's much cheaper to give them sugar syrup, thin syrup (1:1) is used straight away but ripened honey needs diluting slightly, so feeding honey is marginally more work for the bees.

    I see your point but once you are dealing with more than a couple of hives I think its a disease transmission route if honey from one hive gets fed to another
    Robbing is something that can do the same
