    Question PVA Glue & Silicon

    Hi guys & girls,

just wanted to ask if I could use PVA glue in a poly feeder to seal it. I have painted it but it is leaching colour a bit into the feed ? as I have read that it is NONE toxic.

Also what silicon is the best to use in a hive to make the mod to the paynes nuc to change it to a 8 frame nuc ?

    regards
    Graham

Or just paint over the paint with better paint? Acrylic masonry paint is the one many use.

    I like evostick's sticks like Sh*t
It's useful for lots of tasks
Or just cut & shape your offcuts & screw them to the nuc
you'll lose a bit of thermal efficiency but if you're in a hurry
& don't want to wait for silicone to cure it's an option.

I've just butchered two Paynes brood extensions for their nucs
(to allow 8 brood frames over 8 )
Going to be useful for combining nucs with newspaper & also overwintering
