    Default Fondant

Is there any way of prolonging the life of fondant when in the hive as it goes hard rather quickly, when fondant does go hard can it be used for anything such as syrup or is it discarded.

    Hi Kirk boy,

I would just leave it. If the bees need it they will use it even when hard. I have made candy from sugar for winter which is rock solid and the bees still use it.

Fondant is best wrapped in plastic to stop it going hard.
Just leave an opening for the bees to get in.
