Default Anyone used a home brew beer bucket for honey settling?

    Hello all,

Another question! We're going to be extracting soon and don't think we've enough in the way of settling tanks for the crop we're expecting. Anyone used a beer brewing bucket to settle honey? We're pretty sure the bucket itself will be fine as it's made from food grade plastic, but we're unsure if the honey will flow through the small tap. The honey will be settled in a reasonably warm commercial kitchen for a few days, so (hopefully) it won't thicken up too much...

    Any help appreciated!

I've used brewing buckets and I have one where I have fixed a standard honey tap on it. Taps are on ebay at the moment for a few quid. You've got to make the hole just the right size and then distort the bucket a little as you squeeze the nut up on the back.
