Default Plan Bee - What's their real story?

Any of you had experience of this lot? I am perturbed that after a few tweets following their recent placing of bees on Glasgows City Chambers roof they blocked me. My tweets were polite & basic, where were the bees sourced from, what was the treatment plan and had they contacted any local associations to inform them before their installation. The answers I got were very short and not informative apart from the queens were English, the bees Scottish and were varroa free (an unlikely claim unless they come from an island off the West coast). What do you make of this behaviour, they do seem happy to talk basics with non Beekeepers all day long! HJ

All their interested in is profit, which is not illegal but ethically wrong in my opinion, and there's more than plan b doing the same approach.
The down side is all beekeepers get tarred with the same brush

Now, now, let's not get xenophobic especially on this day of all days. (gratuitous but inoffensive personal stuff which, on reflection, I've decided to remove)

I thought that I'd heard they started with imported stocks (may be getting inspected any day now to see if they have SHB in there ...) but by now they could have lost and replaced many of their stocks.

And the Irish are at it as well!!

I'm not sponsoring Scottish *or* Irish drones....... plenty of English drones need sponsoring right here...
