    I've had all sorts of glasses over the years and feel that varifocals are the best if you can get used to them.
    Sometimes the optician gets it wrong and a couple of times I've taken them back within the 30 day period and had replacements that were better.
    Also, optician tells me that different lens manufacturers use different systems. My current Rodenstock lenses are better than the essilor I had prior.

    I was told that mine would allow me to work at the computer but the focal point was completely wrong for the distance I work at.

    I had a pair of varifocals supplied with the diopters reversed - head up for long distance, head down for close-up.

    Made me nauseous.
