Flying in the rain
Yesterday I noticed that a swarm I hived in my garden were going hell fot leather bringing in nectar but when it started to rain they kept in going. The heavens then opened giving a heavy down pour anf yet they still were going for it!
Either these are great bees have managed to pick up or there is a flow on something that they cant resist/can forage in the heavy rain.

They go for lime morning and evening, and through the day when it is humid ... and in light rain. Heavy rain surprises me. I wonder whether you were on the edge of a heavy shower and the plants they were on were outside the area of the rain? These showers can be very local.
