    Default maqs strips

    Hi all,

I just purchased some MAQS strips to put in my hive (my bees have varroa). However my hive has 2 brood boxes, bottom one full and top one only about a third full.

So was wondering, should I put the strips on top or the middle of my brood boxes? Also, I have a super one which is nearly fully capped so should I put it on top of this?

The instructions are taped to the RH side of the container and on the lid

    Between the brood boxes.

Dont be alarmed by the dead bees out the front or lack of brood for a week or so either. I thought all was lost then saw some lovely brood pattern and the original queen walking about 2 weeks after MAQS. No varroa drop either although I'll hold my breath on that one till brood starts hatching again
