It still has one of my most favourite lines in a film.

Dr. Andrews: Billions of dollars have been spent to make these nuclear plants safe. Fail-safe! The odds against anything going wrong are astronomical, Doctor!
Dr. Hubbard: I appreciate that, Doctor. But let me ask you. In all your fail-safe techniques, is there a provision for an attack by killer bees?

    My favourite quote is

'Your American Honeybee has a weak mouth, that can't even break the skin of a grape. But it looks like this species is tearing up plastic cups, possibly to line their hives. Now if this is true, this means they didn't just get here, they've been here for some time breeding, increasing.'

I'm off to buy some plastic cups for my bees - that should see them through winter.

Yes there were some reasonably accurate or based in reality stuff in there, obliterated by the acting and the fictional elements. I now blame this movie for most of the public not actually understanding what a swarm actually is and it's primary purpose. However, it made me laugh!

I was 6 when it was filmed, I have gone 34 years without benefitting from this movie before 😏
