An interesting day,

Well the Basic Assessment started and then we had to stop for reasons outside our control.

Just being on another apiary was useful, that's pretty much doubled the number of hives I've seen now and seeing how other people deal with their hives is always interesting. I do think I was perhaps a little hasty removing queen cells when I did the AS, going to two teaching apiaries and watching queens going back and forth and being swapped around has made me think that mayde I should have hung on to a few more and either directly made use of them myself or offered them to other local beeks.

Hopefully I'll get another day to sort out the assessment next week and patch up a few gaps that were apparent to me, if not the assessor in the meantime.
