Nice one. A sheet of damp proof membrane over the lid, folded over and carefully stapled down will keep the rain off.
Welcome to the forum. You'll be educated in the many and varied uses for Correx here so look out for that in the next skip you pass.

DR ... I think you missed a comma.

Make me one that looks really good or Make me one, that looks really good.

Yours sincerely

PS. No prizes for guessing who had a frustrating day because of the weather ... ;)

Good point fatshark :)
I'm mulling over making some nucs and floors at the moment
It's good to see wood being recycled so well
Maybe I need to get down the local recycling depot and do some intercepts

I find Gumtree is a great source for most things. Much stuff does not sell well so you can offer peanuts after a couple of weeks. As it is local usually, no silly competition like on ebay..
How about a 2 year old Calcium Yuasa 12V car battery for £10? - new £44. (for vapourising oxalic)

or
2 off 2m x 1.2m 18mm ply
plus
2 off 2m x1.2m 50mm celotex insulation

all new
for £20.. (unsold for 3 weeks)

Car batteries can be got free from most garages, my local tested a bunch and found one still putting out 12.9v added a little distilled water and charged. 30 odd treatments so far and no sign of slowing down.

welcome bowplus.
I do like real cedar hives, however I have loads of nucs, roofs and some brood boxes made from free materials. Often it's skip diving. At work when we get a big skip in, they try to do it when I'm not in the office as I remove 1/2 the stuff they throw in and put it back where it came from! :)
