Anyone using a Paynes nuc with extension brood as a cell starter?
The extension is very thick well insulated poly as it does not have the recess.

No Correx in sight and a fancy metal hive stand … you must be making a few bob from selling those queens ;)

That my multi-purpose folding ladder and paint stand.
I made a load of hive stands out of scrap wood which is more in keeping!

Pleased to hear it … I was beginning to worry you were becoming one of those fancy-dan middle-class beekeepers responsible for all those swarms in towns ;)

Yeah, I do my beekeeping wearing jodhpurs and a monocle!
I have a manservant with a silver tray bearing a plate of olives which he feeds me while I graft larvae.

Goodness Jon we could have done with the manservant today. Grafting class at Drumgerrys apiary. We were not very good at it, lots more practice needed I fear.

Och Bridget it'll click with a bit more practice - I've no doubt! Maybe the tray of olives was the missing link today?

And.....I was telling the guys on our wee QR course this afternoon about the supers for the Paynes polynucs. They look good Jon. Are they set up in a similar way to a Harden cell raiser?

Pffff. Olives. G&Ts all round will remedy any such problems....
